Permission Usage:

• Camera & OCR: The app uses your device's Camera to scan textbooks and handwritten notes. We use on-device Optical Character Recognition (OCR) via Google ML Kit to extract text for digitizing your materials.
• AI Question Generation: When you generate practice quizzes, the extracted text is processed by AI services (such as Gemini or Google ML Kit). This processing is used strictly to generate educational content and is not used to build a personal profile.
• Storage: Required to save your generated flashcards, study streaks, and progress reports locally on your device.

2. Data Privacy & Accountability

We prioritize your privacy by minimizing data collection.

• No Account Required: You can use all features of Study Companion without creating an account or providing any personal identifying information.
• No Data Sharing: We do not sell or share your scanned notes or study patterns with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. User Control

You have full authority over your study history:

• You can delete any student profile or study set permanently at any time from within the app.
• Clearing the app's cache or data in system settings will remove all locally stored educational materials.
